We are so excited to be in Cowes!

'The Sailmakers'is an excellent place to stay if you want to come to the Island without your car. Buses from Cowes take you into Newport where you can get a bus anywhere on the Island. All kinds of good value bus passes can be purchased online before your stay.

Cowes has really come alive over the past few years. There are fantastic local food shops and all manner of independently owned shops selling everything from homewares to party shoes. Cowes also has the most varied selection of places to eat in the Island as well as lots of good pubs .... and bloomin marvelous Fish 'n' Chips!

'The Sailmakers' is a traditional two-up-two-down cottage that has been very well converted with some lovely features such as the mast newel-post that we LOVE.

Upstairs sleeps 5 in 2 bedrooms (1 has a double and the other has a double and a single)

Downstairs there is a lounge with an open fireplace, an open-plan kitchen and dining area, utility room and bathroom/wc

'The Sailmakers' is well kitted out with dishwasher, washing machine and drier, microwave, TV and DVD player ... and all the usual suspects

WiFi / CD player / iPod dock

Outside there is a garden with a decked area and gas BBQ

No smoking ... but pets ARE allowed - strictly by special arrangement so do let us know if Fido is coming along!

If you are coming by car we need to point out that Cowes has parking restrictions in place. Parking is available right next door to 'The Sailmakers' - free 6pm - 8am, then 5 hours max @£4.90 (redeemable if you shop at the nearby Sainsburys)There is also plenty of free parking just a short walk away.
