This is how to do camping in style! This beautiful silver trailer is a real head turner combining retro 70's styling and practicality. Big enough to be used either as static 'second home' accommodation but manageable enough for towing and fitting in UK campsites. Shipped from the States 3 years ago this trailer had been in one family for 27 years. The outside is in good condition and includes original hubcaps and a classic blue awning, which is a pleasure to sit under as the sun beats down! The layout inside is all original and is perfect for family holidays, having two separate areas, which can be partitioned off when it comes to bedtime. The kitchen area has an unusual curved worktop with a double sink, full size fridge, oven, grill and 4 gas rings plus lots of storage. We are also including a whole collection of useful accessories such as rolling water carrier, wastewater carrier, outdoor storage box (to keep the muddy boots and balls etc in) and 4 'bistro' style aluminum chairs. The running gear (chassis, wheel bearings, brakes, hitch) has been serviced and is fully operational and in good condition. A 'break away unit' has been installed for safe towing. These American trailers are solidly built compared to their lightweight European counterparts and towing has been fine given the right vehicle. The trailers are renowned for their road handling but we have also fitted an 'equalizer hitch' which further enhances towing by distributing the weight more evenly. This is our first foray into Airstreams and we have had some fabulous family time in it. We've towed it to the beach, we've towed it to forests we've even sat in splendid isolation in a field in Hampshire! Owning it has been a pleasure and an adventure and we are reluctantly parting from it due to inheriting a 1950's Broads' cruiser that's demanding attention- there are only so many weekends in the year! We'll be back!
