'the shack' is in a great spot, surrounded by other shacks, cabins and railway carriages, each in it's own 'dingly dell'.

It's a very special place with a real 'times past' atmosphere. Footsteps from the beach.

The accommodation consists of 1 main living area with a wood burning stove for heating, 1 double bedroom, 1 bedroom with twin beds, galley kitchen with small gas cooker and a small gas fridge. Plus a shower room with wash basin and the toilet. All the rooms are shack-sized - ie small but lovely :-) There is a veranda and seating areas in the 'garden'. The shack has running water. We have a solar power system for 2-3 hrs or so lighting per day but no electrical sockets. A solar charger for mobile phones will be provided as will a wind up radio. The cooking/hot water will be calor gas. Lamps also provided!

'Downsides' are that the track to the shacks is very bumpy and not at all suitable for very low slung cars. There is a Chemical loo - a top of the range (!) new one but something that guests will have to look after themselves - there is an emptying point for this on site.

If you love the idea of a real get-away-from-it-all holiday with peace and quiet then you will love 'the shack' as much as we do.
